So many people who mean so much
If I were to say this is just about a website, I would probably be lying. There are so many people who have helped with this project -- both directly and indirectly -- that I felt like I ought to put a file in here to tell them what they mean to me.
First and foremost, now and forever, is my wife Nicole. She is the love of my life, my soul mate and my miracle. She is also the most talented person I know. She designed a terrific banner that sits at the top of this website.
Mick Curran, my best friend since 1965, built and ran the first incarnation of mikerappaport.com, back when we didn't have Dreamweaver and it was a lot harder. He was the one who had to deal with our horrible first hosting company. Believe me, Mick, with Dreamweaver and Lunar Pages, it's like a walk in the park compared to what you had to put up with.
Julie Castillo, my wife's talented colleague and my friend, spent the better part of two weekend days teaching me web design. What works on this page is due to her; what doesn't is my fault.
My children, Pauline and Virgile Borderies, might just be the two best kids in the world. They're good people, high achievers and fun to be around. I take no credit for that. With kids like that, you don't raise them. You just stay out of their way.
My parents, Norman and Yvonne Rappaport, deserved kids like that and they got a few. Unfortunately, their oldest was a lot more trouble to them. They always stood by me, no matter how bad things got, and I will always love them for that and so much more.
I mentioned Dreamweaver software, which makes web design the proverbial piece of cake, and Lunar Pages, the best web hosting company imaginable.
Thanks to coworkers Sara Carter, Diane Sholley and Brenda Gazzar and others at the Daily Bulletin for always smiling and being upbeat. Thanks to former editor Steve Trosley for making me a columnist for five years -- they were great ones -- and to current editors Steve O'Sullivan and Frank Pine for making me a business editor. A new challenge was just what I needed.
Finally, thanks to Gary Schwab for teaching me to write. He knows what I mean. It changed my life.
